Birthday fun-piercing drama

Hey...some of you asked for pictures of me getting my ears pierced, soooo here I got a little friend of mine to do a video clip on my phone (hence the lack of really clear picture.) This is only the beginning because tomorrow is my birthday DINNER! Although I didn't so much like the number 23 (it's not as mature sounding as 24, but it's not as cute as 22 hmmmm...) I really have enjoyed it so far.

The pre-piercing drama :-) Starring Elisabeth, Tanee, and little Onna (briefly)

And here we have the real deal...

And picture time with the earring technician (or whatever lol)

We took this one and her mouth was closed...soooooo

We took this one and her eyes were closed...but ironically we didn't know. Just imagine her eyes open lol

Have a happy Elisabeth Arona day!

New 'do...a birthday...WOO!!

So I have a list of things I want for my birthday...but so far I've gotten so much cool stuff that I've gotten rid of my list (unless you wanna buy me francesca battistelli's new cd this is the stuff, or some wrist guards.) ANYWAY, I got highlights for the first time...they're basically a brown...I...like...it! :-) Tell me what you think!

The week after my birthday I'm going to put up pictures of a lotta "stuffs" I got, so those of you who thought you were operating on the basis of anonymity, forGET it! lol I'm sure someone will recognize your handiwork (seriously though, email me if you don't want your stuff/name out there.)
Sooo...my new 'do...*drumroll*

In-line skating and life with the kiddies

I have a confession to make...I don't always comb my hair, or iron my clothes, and I'm not even 25 yet. I have the haggard mom look down to a tee. I refuse to become fat though, so at the notice from my dad that I'm "getting a little plump" I strapped on my skates and got some exercise today.

And yes my shirt says "I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want?"
I'm making fresh air a priority around here too...Check it out:

Unfashionable day

Have you ever had a day when you didn't feel fashionable, but still felt happy? That's what today was like for ManMan.

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

On Saturday I visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial with a couple of my friends. If you are ever in the Atlanta area, you should go. I'm not saying this just to say it, it's something that I think anyone would learn from. Some of my family members (as my grandmother is wont to remind me) were actually historical "first black" people to do things (check out Mary Ann Shadd Carey my super great aunt,) so I've read about a lot of this historical type thing, but oh my oh my...The depth of human suffering will never be truly felt by those of us who will never ever truly know racism as it was back then, but this comes pretty close. In the first picture below Steph (my friend) and I posed by the wagon that carried Martin Luther Kings body to it's final resting place. Ironically, people assumed that his death would be the end of his movement; it was only the beginning.

Check out the tidbits below:

Thank God we have come so far :-)

Btw, pictures (and video clips perhaps) of my new inline skates coming soon. Woot!
